Menus and cuisines
Private chef for Sicilian cuisine
Sweet and sour, citrus, fish, ricotta and almonds: Sicilian food is a journey in itself. A private chef brings it to your kitchen, whether you are in Sicily or elsewhere in Italy.
Many flavours in one menu
Sicilian cooking brings together land and sea, street food and rich desserts. It works for sharing dinners with lots of tastes on the table, and for more refined menus built around fish.
Say in the notes which dishes you are interested in and whether you prefer a meat, seafood or mixed menu. Chefs send you their proposals by email and you choose the one you like.
Classic dishes you can ask for
A few staples of the Sicilian table:
- Arancini with ragù or ham and cheese, and panelle
- Aubergine caponata
- Pasta alla Norma or pasta con le sarde
- Swordfish involtini or sarde a beccafico
- Ricotta cannoli and cassata
- Almond or lemon granita
Where and how much
The chef can cook Sicilian food anywhere in Italy: coverage is checked for each request. For groups of 5 or more the bands run from €40-60 to €90-110 per person; for up to 4 people from €80-120 per person. A seafood menu can move the proposal into the higher bands, and the chef states this in the proposal.
Shopping, cooking, table service and cleaning up the kitchen are included; drinks are not, and there is a separate sommelier service.
Frequently asked questions
Is the chef from Sicily?
We do not promise that: chefs propose Sicilian menus based on their own experience. Every chef has uploaded a CV and HACCP certificate, and the proposal shows you the dishes before you choose.
Can I ask for freshly filled cannoli?
You can ask in the notes. The chef explains in the proposal how they will prepare the desserts.
Can I have a Sicilian menu at a villa in Taormina?
Yes, it is a typical holiday request. Coverage for your location is checked for each request.
Can the menu be fish-free?
Of course, Sicilian cooking has many meat and vegetarian dishes. Mention it in the notes along with any allergies.
How far ahead should I book?
At least 6 days before. For special dates, events and groups 2-3 weeks ahead is better.
