Menus and cuisines
Private chef for a gluten-free menu
A menu designed without gluten, cooked in your kitchen by a chef who pays attention to ingredients and cross-contact. State it clearly in your request and the chef builds the proposal around it.
A menu built around your needs
Plenty of Italian dishes are naturally gluten-free: risotto, grilled meat and fish, vegetables, polenta, spoon desserts. A private chef can start from these and also make pasta and desserts with gluten-free flours.
The chef checks labels when shopping and works carefully to avoid cross-contact, for instance by preparing the gluten-free dishes first and keeping utensils and surfaces separate.
If someone at the table has coeliac disease
The chef cooks in your kitchen, with your pans and utensils: it is not a certified gluten-free environment. For this reason we cannot guarantee that no traces will be present.
If one of your guests has coeliac disease, say so clearly in the notes. The chef looks at the situation and explains in the proposal how they plan to work, so you can decide with all the information.
Dishes you might see in the proposals
Every chef writes their own menu. A few ideas:
- Risotto with mushrooms, pumpkin or seafood
- Baked fish or fish en papillote with seasonal vegetables
- Fillet or sliced steak with seasonal sides
- Polenta with ragù or mushrooms
- Panna cotta, chocolate mousse or almond cake

Frequently asked questions
Is the menu suitable for someone with coeliac disease?
The chef works carefully to avoid cross-contact, but cooks in your kitchen, which is not a certified gluten-free environment. Mention coeliac disease in the notes: the chef considers it and explains in the proposal how they will work.
Can I have gluten-free pasta and desserts too?
Yes, many chefs make pasta and desserts with gluten-free flours. Ask in your request and you will find them in the proposal.
Does everyone have to eat gluten-free?
No. You can ask for a gluten-free menu for the whole table, which makes things simpler, or dedicated dishes for some guests only.
Where do I mention allergies and intolerances?
In the notes of the request. Allergies, intolerances and diets should always go there, so the chef considers them before writing the proposal.
Can I cancel if plans change?
Yes, you can cancel up to 48 hours before the service and get a refund.
