A birthday dinner in your own home, with a menu designed around the guest of honour and no washing up. You stay at the table, the chef takes care of the rest.
Why celebrate a birthday with a chef at home
In a restaurant you share the room with other tables, follow the kitchen’s timings and queue for the bill. At home the evening is yours: you set the pace, children can leave the table and the toast comes when you are ready.
The chef arrives with the shopping done, cooks in your kitchen, plates and serves at the table. At the end of the evening the kitchen is left clean and tidy.
How it works
Fill in the free request in 5 minutes: town, date, number of guests, type of cuisine and an indicative price range. Chefs available in your area send you their menu proposals by email and you choose at your own pace.
In the additional information you can add everything that matters for the party: the birthday person’s favourite dish, guests’ allergies or diets, a cake or a small surprise to coordinate with the chef. You only pay online after choosing a proposal.
Birthday menu ideas
Every chef writes their own menu, but here are a few ideas to start from when you send your request.
- A menu of memories: childhood favourites reinterpreted by the chef
- A seafood dinner with crudo, a seafood pasta and the catch of the day
- A regional menu, for example Tuscan, Apulian or Sicilian
- A multi-course tasting menu for a milestone birthday
- A vegetarian menu, or one suited to guests with intolerances
How much it costs
For groups of 5 or more you choose an indicative range: Gustosa €40-60, Tentazione €60-90, Esclusiva €90-110 per person. For a dinner of up to 4 people prices start at €80-120 per person. Shopping, cooking, service and cleaning up are included; drinks are not, and there is a separate sommelier service if you want one.
Book at least 6 days ahead. For larger groups it is best to book 2-3 weeks ahead; for more than 10 people our team handles the party directly.
Frequently asked questions
Can the chef make the birthday cake too?
Mention it in the additional information of your request: the chef will tell you in the proposal whether they can make it or how to fit in with a cake you bring.
Can we organise a surprise party?
Yes. Explain the plan in your request and when the chef should arrive; the chef only receives your contact details after you confirm, so you can then agree the details directly.
How many guests can we invite?
Up to 10 people, your request goes straight to the chefs. For more than 10 people our team handles it and organises chefs and service with you.
Are drinks included?
No, the price covers shopping, cooking, service and cleaning up. For wine you can add the sommelier service, booked separately from the dinner.
Can I cancel if plans change?
Yes, you can cancel up to 48 hours before the service and get a refund.
