How a chef for several days works

In your request you give the dates of your stay, how many of you there are (adults and children) and which meals you want: dinners only, a few lunches, breakfasts. You do not need a chef for every meal of the holiday: many people book the evenings and keep lunchtimes free for day trips.

Chefs reply with a proposal that describes the menus for the different days and a total price for the stay. You choose the proposal you prefer and pay online; only after confirmation does the chef receive your contact details to sort out the practicalities.

How much a villa chef costs

For holidays the indicative band is per person per meal, and groceries are agreed separately. Children count as half, and so do breakfasts.

Example: 4 adults and 2 children with 3 dinners and 2 lunches in Gustosa come to (4 + 1) × 5 meals × €32-48 = €800-1,200 for the stay, groceries excluded. The final price is the one in the chef’s proposal.

  • Gustosa: €32-48 per person per meal
  • Tentazione: €48-72 per person per meal
  • Esclusiva: €72-88 per person per meal
  • Groceries extra, drinks not included

What to ask the villa before booking

The chef works with the kitchen they find, so it is worth asking the property how it is equipped and noting it in the additional information of your request. A few details are enough to avoid surprises.

  • A properly equipped kitchen with pans, utensils and enough plates for everyone
  • A working oven
  • A hob, and how many rings it has
  • Fridge space for the shopping
  • A table and place settings for the whole group
  • Any barbecue or wood-fired oven, if you would like them used

Breakfast, lunch and dinner: how to plan them

Dinner is the meal people most often book a chef for: it is when the group gets together and the menu can be richer. Lunch can be lighter, perhaps on the terrace or by the pool, on the days you stay at the villa.

Breakfast makes most sense for large groups or a special morning. Being precise about days and meals helps the chef plan the shopping and menus without waste.

Language, diets and coverage

If not everyone in your group speaks Italian, you can state the language you would like the chef to speak in the additional information. In the same way, list each guest’s allergies and diets.

Coverage is checked for each request: even if the villa is somewhere remote, send the request with the town and dates. For groups of more than 10 people or events during your stay, the team looks after you directly.
